May 2008 Lodge News
The Lodge has had a wonderful month, especially weather wise. We like to believe that the latest weather was reeled in by our own goodwill, as we launched our Spring Renewal Wellness Retreat. It was a fantastic weekend which had spring in mind; with mediation sessions, morning yoga and qigong, wake-up smoothies, and a mock-tail social hour it was the perfect weekend to rejuvenate after the unusually long and harsh winter. Our next wellness is scheduled for early November, and you can book online now at http://www.thelodgeatsuttlelake.com/calendar/08-nov.asp, we like to help rejuvenate people pre-holiday and post taxes.
With the calendar saying its spring time, we have been surprised to see more snowy days than sunny ones, yet there has been two beautiful weekends with the mercury creeping up to the mid 70’s!! Our good will seemingly carried over to the folks out on the Lake as well. As of the last weekend of April I think we can officially say the fishing season is in full effect. One group of four fly casters gave awfully encouraging news claiming they had caught their limit in Kokanee by noon, and were going after the Browns in the evening. The Kokanee, coming in at 12 to 14 inches, are a great omen for the months to come. We are running a summer booking special from May 1st to May 15th, where you will get 20% off your summer stay if you book within these dates. Don’t forget that Mothers Day is coming right around the corner and we are taking reservations for the Mother’s Day Brunch at 11:00am or 2:00pm and Mother’s Day dinner at 5:00pm or 6:00pm. Make your reservations now at: http://www.thelodgeatsuttlelake.com/dining.asp
We have a fantastic new menu and wine list coming out on May 15th, stay tuned.
